Address Cards
Keeping in mind that anything involving official government documents is never easy, you have to take further actions when the expiry date approaches. Periodicals are only forwarded for sixty days and other mails for a year. Once the forwarding period expires, anything that is addressed to you may just get lost somewhere between, either in your old home or the post office’s dead letter room. Make sure that you send out change of address cards to all those concerned when the US Postal Service stops forwarding it. You can get the cards for free from the post office.
Bills regarding your utilities, your credit card company and your insurance carrier are easier dealt with as they usually have a section where you can update your address information. Using this advantage can save you from undergoing other complications related to your address. Make a list of all those who need your new address- your friends and relatives, all the companies you business with and any other concerned individuals in your contact list. And once you start mailing out your change of address cards, make sure that you tick the ones you have sent to. Preserve your checklist. Someday sooner it may be of help to you.
Besides making other arrangements for your plan on moving out, you should not forget to give a thought about your mailings because the things you receive through post sometimes carry the most important things in your life. Managing to give a little more hard work into your moving plan may finally get you in a relaxed mood once you settle in your new home as you start yet another memory of a home somewhere else.
