Moving Utilities Locally

Most people make the mistake of thinking that moving locally is a piece of cake. A local move is more than just putting your belongings on the truck for a couple of hours. It requires planning and preparation. Once you have decided the date for the move and booked for truck, it is time to plan the utilities. It is only when people arrive at their destination and find it without water or electricity they wonder why they didn’t think of planning for utilities before.

Make certain that service is provided to your current residence till the day of your move and then terminated. At your new residence the utilities such as water, electricity, cable and internet service should be up and running before you arrive. If you are unsatisfied with your current service provider, this is a good time to change.
