Packing Dishes
The most important part about packing China is the packaging you use. You should preferably try to pack your dishware in their original packaging and boxes. If you don’t have those, then use bubble wrap to protect them and place your dishes in an appropriate size box.
Separate your dishes according to use. Everyday dishes should be in one box and those used for special occasions in another. Mark them accordingly. Keep the heaviest pieces at the base of the carton or box, this will ensure that they don’t damage other dishes in it. Don’t pack your China in large boxes or cartons, as they will get too heavy to carry.
Make certain that the box is well packed and that your dishware will not move within the box, when it is being loaded or unloaded. You can use shredded paper to cover up any empty spaces. Also mark these cartons or boxes as ‘Fragile’ and bring them to the notice of the movers.
