The Beaches
In Ft. Lauderdale there are 7 miles of beach to choose from! Complete with wide brick walkways, lush landscaping, and a "wave wall" with neon accent lighting, Fort Lauderdale's famous beach has a new style and sophistication. You will find jogging, biking, and just taking a stroll a pleasure in this new setting. Let's not forget the famous RiverWalk for the young and the young at heart. On this exciting trail you will find, it is lined with exquisite restuarants, night clubs and bars and first class shopping. You can take the children on a interesting stroll during the day, or break free and night with all the buzz and excitement. This recently completed linear promenade along the New River in downtown is considered by many "Florida's Most Beautiful Mile."
The POOL
Prefer the pool to the beach? There is always the Fort Lauderdale Aquatic Complex. The Fort Lauderdale Aquatic Complex is a City of Fort Lauderdale facility and home to Fort Lauderdale Aquatics swim team, the Dive Team, Ocean Rescue, the Jack Nelson Swim School and the International Swimming Hall of Fame . The facility features two competition-size pools and a dive well, and offers lessons, camps, and classes for all ages and abilities, public swimming hours, and special events.
