Compass Van Lines assumes a level of liability for your shipment while it is in our care. This coverage will help put your mind at ease.

Limited Liability Coverage:

Under this option you limit Compass's liability by specifically releasing the shipment at a value of $0.60 per pound per article.

Example: 5000 pound shipment
Coverage: 5000 x $0.60 = $3000 total liability coverage. Claim settlements are based upon weight, not value

Cost: There is no additional charge for this coverage.

Replacement Value Coverage (Non-depreciated settlement)
Replacement value covers the full repair or replacement of lost or damaged property.

It can be purchased as an extra cost item.
It's also a good idea to check your exisiting homeowners policy if this is a residential move since coverage may already be providid by your insurer.
